A new anomalous discovery has been unearthed in Peru. A mummified crouched body with three fingers and an elongated skull has been found recently in Nazca. Scientists studying human origins are of the opinion that it is important to stay curious yet skeptical. Jaime Maussan, an investigative journalist from Mexico introduced this mummified humanoid to Gaia filmmakers. A team of researchers and scientists joined them outside Nazca to investigate the story behind this mummified body.

Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, a professor at Saint-Petersburg University and one of the leading scientists, Dr. José de Jesús Zalce Benítez, Forensic expert at the National School of Medicine of Mexico, and Natalia Zaloznaja MD PhD, Head of image analysis of the Medical Institute MIBS joined the initial examinations.

The body measured 168cm (5’6”) tall and has proportions like humans. The only features that made this humanoid apart were the three long fingers on each hand the elongated skull and lack of nose and ears. Instead of nose and ears, there were only two holes in those areas. Dr. Korotkov informed that these features are not a deformity, but it is “another creature, another humanoid.”

The Paracas skulls are the largest elongated skulls found in any part of the world. There were more than 300 such skulls found in a graveyard in Paracus, Peru. Some of them were as old as 3000 years. The reason behind the shape of the skulls are still under debate as their origins.

The DNA testing of the skulls traced their origins in Europe and the Middle East. Another strange feature of these elongated skulls is the different location of the foramen magnum where the spinal cord attaches to the skull is large and heavy than that of humans.

The mummified body found near Nazca was covered in white powder which is used to dry the skin and preserve the remains. The white powder lends a grey appearance to the skin while the internal organs are intact. Carbon samples from the body dates the body between 245 to 410 AD. The DNA sequencing and CAT scan results are still in progress.

M.K. Jesse, a Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the University of Colorado Hospital, informed that it no changes to the skull or hands are made and this proves its unique appearance. Many questions still surround this mummified body. Questions like are the features deformities, is this humanoid a forgotten human species and many others can be answered only by way of further examination.
